Timed Essence

The laughs that danced around for a innocent eternity,
Found themselves thrown away for future lives never seen
Imprisoned by the wire, lining up my tangled desire
For new faces appearing before my eyes, shiny eyed and honest,
youthful hope that prizes past triumphs

None of those bodies remain, the drought took away the ones who couldn’t sustain,
Suddenly my heart prudes in pain, Lost with all the wrong choices I made in vein,
Left with new dusts proceeding grave
This desert forgot any swollen joy,
Superficial and over-the-top antics projected their desperate noise,
Searching for wondering souls broken enough to turn into toys
Grinding another life away being permanently employed

These metaphors are but a limited stop for you,
Take their essence with yourself, if you have something to prove,
I wish time could stop it’s truth,
But until our end just keep your progress on the move

Because your clock may run out soon.
