Tear It From Me

I shed that old fear from yesterday,
berated and armed
Ticking away my anger and regret
Fiery and surreal,
tore apart my well being before I could catch it

along bloody threads of human
gently tugging on the fragile flesh
under the weight of torment
fresh with scars ripe from a personal bondage
approaching pain’s climax

I listen for hatred’s chord loosening
those red lines that seek sunken pleasure
once marking the past sins I bear
Shed away with newfound air
