Tumbling Time

I’ve slumbered a millennia without a core
Dusted devil’s with whispers I couldn’t dream of anymore
Carrying away my heart like a carriage I gave them
Grinding and withering down the essence of my body

Ages exist only with a memorable time
Awaken from boredom and temporary glory
The moment I heard the seed speak, it started to bore me
And so I drifted into empty lands
Sacrificing torrents and wind
Cognitive  decay bold and brisk
Found my vessel a humble place to persist

Why indeed do we lose track of our souls among the expanse?
If only I knew just the secret plan
A sleep is a death all it’s own, leaning on reality bound in sands
Sinking just out of sight
Whispers our fears like a poignant blight
