Our Reckoning:

Why does the endless arrays of text seem blind upon our thin, ground skulls
destined for the consuming of such insignificant words
plastered against every single wall
found upon digital bars, who never cracked the code
Why had we given our forms to that disastrous body

upon a grimy, populated doorstep I found the source……

They told me:
leave the limbs for the child’s taste
no warm sticks would suffice even a spec of our insatiable appetite
plastered against every wall
steaming hot blood tainted any lingering claws
none had access to such violence
for soft skin couldn’t find courage to crawl away

we allow anybody inside of our blissful bars, so that they find confide with our soothing truth

I had not ever thought one who looks into the mirror also saw the pieces, and what you might preach could twist the flesh’s seeking tongue
Not an inch of any tall skyscraper you build upon those shall stand in the face of the Truth
I hope the holes that leek inside the lost promise cleanses the disguising guise you’ve created will close soon
we all now what happens to vulnerable masks in or illuminating sunrise

Shall the heat treat them with mercy?

Leave that hope for cool fools, and their flimsy demeanor will collapse
leaving endless puzzles of us unsolved, and forgotten

I wonder how many pieces will be left upon the bleak, deaf isolation lingering ahead?

At least with the beautiful day that follows we shall be one of a blaze of divine wealth. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I hope to see you

after

the

fall
